    Unusual and beautiful head board. Bed itself looked so nice seems a shame to cover it with a mattress. Guess you need a place to sleep though right? lol. I like the name of the channel, Honey Badger WoodWorks. Big fan of those critters. Have to admire them, some of the toughest and fearless animals in the land. Nice work and good video.

    It really turned out nice. You should be proud. At first I thought that it was getting a little overbuilt, but I was wrong. Every piece that you placed played an important roll. Thank you for pointing out the struggles, and warts that you had with the build. That makes it so much more relatable. It's not just me! :-) Take care.

    Have to say I liked this build, loved the way you tied the legs into the frame and also the steamed slats in the headboard looked great too, I thought it was a good project for anyone to take on no matter their skill level, not sure way it would not have done well 🤷anyway what would I know 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺

      Thanks, still don't understand how RUclips works after all these years. This third part is doing much better. Thumbnails with myself in them seem to do better. Which is frustrating because you would assume the a photo of the finished piece would work best.

    Sorry I am not trying to be a pain. It looks like you are working in short sleeves. The garage doors are shut. Have you updated to a Heated and Air Condition shop?

      I have heat, no AC. The cost to add AC is something I'm not willing to shell out especially considering this is not a permanent shop situation. And the heat doesn't really bother me.

    Catilyn, I believe I have seen the entire build. I notice you unrolled the slates onto the bed. How did you space the slates and what material did you attach the slate with? Cloth strips?

    Good afternoon H. B. Just wanted to say that regardless of how many people watched this particular project build, their are many, like myself who absolutely enjoyed this series. This is what I love about your channel, always something different than the norm. You just keep doing what you do. Next time when you’re out and about, stop at a thrift store and pick up a matching weaved basket to use as an accent piece to place some of your reading material in. Along with the Headboard it will look great. I thought the bed looked great in your room. Until next time, have fun in your shop and enjoy your weekend girl.

    What I do whenever I see that there is a series of vidoes in a build, is to wait until all are posted. Then I can watch them all at the same time. Maybe other subscribers do the same and views will catch up. I hope so. You have become one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I enjoy your builds and I especially like your workshop. When there's sawdust and scraps on the floor and the benches, it looks realistic; looks like there is some real work being done. Looks a bit like my shop but unfortunately with less work being done. I'm very glad that I came across your channel. From the east coast of Canada.

    HB - I really enjoyed this series, thank you! One question: All the two-by material I see at the big box store is labeled SPF - Spruce - Pine - Fir. How can you tell you have fir and not spruce or pine? I have seen 4 x 4 for sticks that are reddish brown, but the 2 x 4/6/8 don't have the same color. Thanks

    • @HoneyBadgerWoodWorks
      @HoneyBadgerWoodWorks 2 дня назад

      It could be a regional thing. Mine are labeled Douglas Fir. But, I can tell them apart easily from the white pine they sell as well, even without the label.

    In this particular style of bed, I am puzzled as to why some may not find it appealing. Such a perspective seems nonsensical to me. Within this style, this video demonstrating the construction of the bed is arguably one of the best available. While it may not be as user-friendly for DIY enthusiasts in the more complex versions, it is easily adaptable and has been proven over centuries to be highly effective for various purposes, ranging from beds to entire structures. Congratulations on a job well executed!

    It is beautiful. I built a similar low bed three years ago. I wish I had this video series as my guide back then. The finger joint jig is especially a great idea. It would have made my life 10 times easier. Instead, I used some specialized hardware, which was expensive and not as strong.
